About Visibility Innovations

Visibility Innovations is a Lighting and Engineering Consultancy with over 45 years of experience in lighting and daylighting design for human visual health; quality exterior lighting promoting dark skies and minimal environmental impact; and net zero energy and regenerative design to create healthier regenerative environments for all. We bring together experts committed to creating environmentally regenerative spaces that benefit both humans and nature to create innovative solutions to the world’s most challenging lighting and renewable energy problems. We believe in creating daylighting and lighting systems that reduce energy consumption, protect animal and human health, and preserve natural resources. Our passion for regenerative  climate action and equitable design has led us to work with international standards organizations, NGOs, federal and state governments, cities, tribes, universities, design firms,  environmental consultants and Fortune 500 companies.

Nancy Clanton

Nancy Clanton is a pioneering force and widely recognized and a lifelong advocate in the regenerative and restorative movements including dark skies restoration, biologically sensitive outdoor lighting, and zero carbon emissions communities. She is also a visionary lighting and daylighting/views advocate and a lifelong champion of healthy environments for all. Nancy Clanton is founder of Visibility Innovations, LLC a consulting firm specializing in sustainable and regenerative design. Nancy is also the founder of the award winning lighting design firm Clanton & Associates where she has spent 40+ years shaping global lighting standards, championing the inclusion of light pollution and indoor environmental quality credits in LEED and WELL Building criteria, and having a lasting legacy through extensive speaking, academic involvement, community involvement and mentorship.

Britt Clanton

Executive Team

Britt has over 18 years of experience as a Financial Advisor and helps guides corporate leaders understand the complexity of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) options. 

He attended Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN where he attained his BA in Business Management. He served in various leadership roles in the Gustavus Investment Club and as a board member for the Lowry Building in downtown Saint Paul. He now resides in Saint Paul with his wife, two daughters, and their English bulldog, Daisy Loo. In his spare time, Britt enjoys skiing, golfing, broomball, photovoltaic systems, and spending time with his family.
